I think being a "star" in the NBA has to do more with popularity than it does with actual basketball talent. In the end, you're not voting for the better player, you're just voting for who you want to see play basketball. Let's face it, if there was a way to RickRoll the NBA All-Star game it would be done.

it's unfortunate, because this would mean those that are more talented are neglected, not a very fair concept.
